Could you use a simple and effective way to make good decisions?

 

SCSU professor Scot Phelps brings Marine Corps discipline to the process of making good business decisions. Whether you want to run better meetings,  identify decision points, set priorities, or find ways to put decisions into effect, this discussion will help.  

About the presenter:   Professor Scot Phelps has over two decades of emergency response  experience working as a paramedic and paramedic instructor.  He served as assistant commissioner for emergency management at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, as a hospital emergency manager, and as a professor of emergency medicine at George  Washington University School of  Medicine. Most recently, he  developed and led the master's of public administration in Emergency and Disaster Management at Metropolitan College in New York City.

Phelps has a juris doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School and holds a master's in public health in policy and administration from Yale Medical School . He is a certified emergency manager, a certified business continuity professional, and a FEMA master exercise practitioner. He serves on the IAEM CEM Commission, formerly served on the DRII Education Commission, and is a special consultant for the China Business Continuity Management Professional Committee.

The Main (Ives) branch of the New Haven Free Public Library system is located at 133 Elm St., across from the New Haven Green, corner of Elm and Temple. Yale Lot #51 on Temple Street (across the street from the library) opens to the public at 4pm, and there are 2-hour parking meters on streets surrounding the library.
